CITY TO CLOSE FLORIN PERKINS ROAD AT RAILROAD CROSSING BETWEEN 23RD AND 24TH AVENUES
The road pavement on Florin Perkins Road at the intersection with the railroad tracks is in serious poor conditions and represents a safety hazard for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
The Central California Traction Company and the City of Sacramento Department of Public Works, Maintenance Services Division are scheduled to perform railroad tracks and pavement repairs at the intersection of Florin Perkins Road and the existing railroad tracks between 23rd and 24th Avenues.
Central California Traction Company will perform removal and replacement of railroad tracks, while the City of Sacramento Street Maintenance Services Division will perform grinding of damaged pavement and repave the road and driveway/sidewalk between the railroad tracks.
Due to the magnitude and scope of work to be done, Florin Perkins Road, between 23rd and 24th Avenues, will be completely closed to traffic in order for the repairs to be made. Detours and proper signage to use alternate routes will be posted.
The scheduled road closures dates, weather permitting, are as follows:
Start: Sunday, October 30th, 2016 @ 06:00 AM
End: Friday, November 4th, 2016 @ 06:00 PM
Redding Ave Closure Extension
The Redding Ave Road closure will be extending to Thursday November 10, 2016, 24/7 due to unforeseen conditions and weather.
